This year we have done an audio book for Harper audio books for Barbara Kingsaolver, the world renowned author of 'The Poison Wood Bible'. This is the second book she has recorded with us. The first, two years ago, was 'Animal, Vegetable and Miracle', and this one, which should be released by now, is 'The Lacuna'. We had a wonderful experience recording with her and her New York producer Rick Harris and we hope she returns for her next recording.

In other news Wise Old River came in and recorded their CD and walked out the door with it in just one day. A beautiful piece with singer Jamen Denton, (of the late great band 'Virginia Ground'), and his parents, (Dad on the slide guitar and Mom singing harmonies). Jamen has one of my favorite soul voices and is the songwriter for all the songs. I recently heard it on the local public radio station coming over an ancient and cheap transitor radio. It translated well so I knew that the mix was right!

Jason Alley has been in the studio recording a Christian demo of three songs... great voice, good songs, what can you say!

Our prices for a one song demo start at the incredibly low price of $99 plus shipping. A typical demo would have drums, bass, rhythm guitars, and one other backing instrument, (mandolin/banjo/fiddle/B3 organ or piano), plus appropriate lead instrument and of course a quality singer doing lead and chorus backups. If you pay by paypal we can have you the demo within two weeks, or if it is by check or money order it will be two weeks from the time the check clears.
